Who’s the Best Person to Help With Posture? (Here’s What to Look For)
Not sure who to trust with your posture?
You’re not alone. A lot of people come to me after seeing multiple professionals, still stuck in pain or frustrated with how they look or move.
It’s not that those people weren’t trying to help. It’s that posture often gets treated as an afterthought — instead of the foundation it really is.
So let’s break it down. If you’re serious about improving your posture, here’s what to look for in the person helping you do it.
1. They Should Specialise in Posture — Not Just Include It
Many professionals mention posture correction somewhere on their list of services. But if it’s just one small piece of what they do, you’re unlikely to get the depth or focus you really need.
Posture isn’t something you can fix with one or two exercises, or a bit of quick advice. It takes careful assessment, consistent practice, and a clear understanding of how the whole body is compensating.
That’s why I only do posture work. Every session, every plan, every conversation is about helping your body get back into balance — so you can move, feel, and look your best.
2. They Should Look at Your Whole Body — Not Just Where It Hurts
If someone’s only checking your shoulders when your posture looks off… or only treating your neck because that’s where the pain is, then they’re missing the bigger picture.
Posture is a full-body issue. And the real cause of your problem often isn’t where the symptoms show up.
That’s why in my consultations, I assess how your head, spine, shoulders, pelvis, and even your feet are working together (or not). Because your body is a system — and to fix it properly, you need someone who sees the full map.
3. They Should Give You a Personalised Plan — Not a Generic Routine
You wouldn’t wear someone else’s glasses prescription — and you shouldn’t follow their posture program either.
Every body is different. Every compensation pattern is unique. And the right plan for you depends on what your body is doing right now — not what worked for someone else.
That’s why I build custom posture sequences for every client I work with, based on a full-body assessment and 12+ years of hands-on experience.
4. They Should Teach You What’s Going On — Not Just Tell You What to Do
If someone gives you a list of stretches without explaining why… you’re less likely to do them. And even if you do, you won’t know if they’re working.
A good posture specialist should help you understand your body. They should teach you what’s causing the problem, how the exercises will help, and what signs to look out for as your posture improves.
This builds trust. It builds momentum. And most importantly — it puts you in charge of your progress.
5. They Should Have Real Results You Can See — Not Just Promises
Lots of people talk a good game. But when it comes to posture, you want to see the proof.
That could mean clear before-and-after photos. Real client stories. Trusted reviews. Or even people you know who’ve had genuine success.
You don’t have to take my word for it — visit my Client’s Results section to see real case studies, before and after pictures and testimonials from people who’ve worked with me, including GPs, consultants, athletes, and everyday professionals.
