60+ Years of Scoliosis Made Straighter with Posture Therapy
A Curved Spine That Had Only Gotten Worse
When this client first came to see me, she told me she was born with scoliosis — a curvature of the spine that had worsened over time.
The x-rays showed the severity.
But the misalignments didn’t stop there. They affected her entire body, all the way up to her neck.
From the front, her head leaned to the right.
From the side, her upper back was hunched, shoulders rounded, and head pitched forward.
She experienced daily pain, and stiffness, and told me she felt like she was getting shorter every year.
What I Told Her
When I work with clients who have structural scoliosis — especially one that’s been there a lifetime — the goal isn’t perfection. It’s progress.
Many are told nothing can be done. But in my experience, with the right plan and consistency, real change is possible. Less pain. More mobility. Better posture.
The Daily Plan That Made the Difference
We started simple — just five gentle posture correction exercises. No equipment and nothing fancy. But the key? Daily consistency. And she stuck with it.
At each follow-up, I reassessed her posture, fine-tuned her form, and gradually introduced more advanced movements.
Her dedication paid off.
The Results After One Year
A year later, her photos told the story.
From the front, her head is straighter, more centred and level. From the side, she’s standing taller, her back is straighter and her posture more balanced.
Is it perfect? Of course not. But after decades of scoliosis, the improvement is remarkable.
In her own words:
“I was so impressed and my posture has improved tremendously. The exercises have kept me supple, increased my muscle strength and made me aware of my posture. I do my exercises regularly which helps me live without the nerve pain I was experiencing previously.”
A Reminder That Change Is Always Possible
Her story is proof that even when the odds are stacked against you, your body can still change — especially when you give it the right support.
