My journey from pain to posture specialist

Living with chronic pain and poor posture is incredibly challenging. If you haven’t experienced it, it’s hard to grasp how deeply it can affect your life.

At just sixteen, I developed severe repetitive strain injury and back pain. I felt trapped in a body that limited me, unable to enjoy the activities I loved. Despite seeing numerous doctors and trying various treatments, nothing provided lasting relief. The lowest point came when my girlfriend had to wash my hair because my hands hurt so much.

Realising I had to take control of my own healing, I immersed myself in learning about pain and body mechanics. I committed to daily stretches and exercises, shifted my mindset, and focused on my posture. Gradually, the pain began to fade.

Years later, I found myself asking, “What do I want to do with my life?” The answer became clear: help others live pain-free.

It seemed perfect. Having experienced poor posture and pain myself, I would understand what my clients were going through. With my own journey of healing, I knew I could guide others on the same path.

I initially pursued a Master’s Degree in Osteopathy, but after three years of training, I discovered my true passion: posture. In 2013, I became certified as a Posture Alignment Specialist through the Egoscue Institute, and that’s when Health Through Posture was born!

Over the past ten years, I’ve had the privilege of helping thousands of people improve their alignment—ranging from ages five to eighty-eight. Many come to me in pain, while others seek confidence in their appearance or worry about ageing.

It’s fascinating and meaningful work. I’m continually amazed by how much the body can change when given the right support.

I invite you to explore this website and find something that resonates with you. Perhaps we’ll meet one day, whether in London, Tunbridge Wells, or online. Take care!
