My Journey: From Pain to Posture Specialist

Living with chronic pain and poor posture is a challenge most people don’t fully understand—until they experience it themselves. I know this first-hand.

At just sixteen, I developed severe repetitive strain injury and back pain. I was trapped in a body that limited me, unable to do the things I loved. I saw countless doctors and tried many treatments, but nothing gave me lasting relief. The lowest point? When my girlfriend had to wash my hair because the pain in my hands was so intense.

That moment was a turning point. I realised that if I was ever going to heal, I had to take full control of my body. So, I dove deep into learning about pain and body mechanics, committed to daily stretches and exercises, and began to focus on my posture. Slowly, the pain began to fade.

As I healed, I asked myself, “What do I want to do with my life?” The answer was clear: help others who are struggling with pain and poor posture, just like I had.

Having lived through pain and poor posture, I knew exactly how it felt. And I knew I could guide others through the same process of healing. I initially pursued a Master’s Degree in Osteopathy, but after three years of training, I discovered that my true passion lay in posture alignment.

In 2013, I became a Posture Alignment Specialist through the Egoscue Institute, and that’s when Health Through Posture was born.

Over the last eleven years, I’ve had the privilege of helping thousands of people—ranging from ages five to eighty-eight—improve their alignment. Whether they’re struggling with pain, looking to improve their confidence, or worried about ageing, I’ve helped them find relief, look better, and feel more confident.

It’s deeply rewarding work. I’m continually amazed at what the body can achieve when given the right support.

I invite you to explore this website and see if something resonates with you. Maybe we’ll meet one day—in London, Tunbridge Wells, or online. Take care, and remember: the first step is often the hardest, but it’s usually worth it.
