My Journey: From Pain to Posture Specialist

Most people don’t understand what it’s like to live with chronic pain — until it happens to them. I know, because I’ve been there.

At just sixteen, I developed severe repetitive strain injury and back pain. I was trapped in a body that limited me, unable to do the things I loved. I saw countless doctors and tried many treatments, but nothing gave me lasting relief.

The lowest point? When I couldn’t even wash my own hair — the pain in my hands was so intense, my girlfriend had to do it for me.

That moment changed everything for me. I realised healing wasn’t going to come from outside — I had to take ownership. I became obsessed. I studied posture, pain, and body mechanics. I did the exercises daily. Bit by bit, the pain began to fade.

As I healed, I asked myself, “What do I want to do with my life?” The answer was clear: help others who are struggling with pain and posture, just like I had.

Having lived through pain and years of misalignment, I knew exactly how it felt. And I knew I could guide others through the same process of healing. I initially pursued a Master’s Degree in Osteopathy, but after three years of training, I discovered that my true passion lay in posture alignment.

In 2013, I qualified as a Posture Alignment Specialist through the Egoscue Institute, and that’s when Health Through Posture was born.

Since then, I’ve become known as one of London’s top-rated posture specialists, trusted by GPs, surgeons, athletes, parents and hundreds of clients. Many people come to me because other treatments haven’t worked.

It’s deeply rewarding work — and I’m still amazed at what the body can do when it’s given the right support.

I invite you to explore the Health Through Posture website and see if something resonates with you. Maybe we’ll meet one day—in London, Tunbridge Wells, or online. Take care, and remember: the first step is often the hardest, but it’s usually worth it.
