It’s important to remember that pain is a warning sign from your body telling you that something is not right. You may know the thing which is not right – it could be a muscle strain, spasm, joint degeneration, a disc bulge, a ligament strain, bursitis or perhaps nerve impingement. You need to go one step further though and ask why that condition developed in the first place. Unless you were in a severe accident we can rarely blame it on old age or natural wear and tear or some kind of sport or activity that you do, because there are many people older than you who do your activity and don’t have your pain.

So what’s going on? Well, very often the root cause of your pain is that your posture has lost it’s natural alignment. As soon as this happens, there can be excess strain and wear and tear through the joints, muscles and other tissues of your body and eventually you might develop a condition, which gives you pain.

Many therapies only bring temporary pain relief because they only focus on the condition you have. Posture Correction Therapy on the other hand, aims to target the underlying root cause, which very often is your posture. The aim is to not only end your current pain, but also to reduce your risk of future pain and injuries.
