Egoscue warm-up and cool-down for golfers

Golf requires a stable and mobile body. A posturally sound body has this. Unfortunately because of our modern day lifestyles many people have some form of postural misalignment. This can lead to pain when playing sports such as golf.

But remember, it’s not golf that is the problem, but rather the body we bring to golf!

If your posture is out of alignment to begin with, then when you play golf you will put extra stress on certain parts of your body. Over time this can lead to conditions such as a muscle strain, cartilage loss, tendonitis etc.

Treatment which just focuses on the condition won’t help in the long-term and so usually the pain returns either in the same location or somewhere else.

The key is getting your body back into it’s natural pain free postural alignment.

In this video, Pete Egoscue, Posture Correction Specialist and founder of The Egoscue Method, shows you some simple exercises you can do before you play golf.

These exercises help to get your body into a better position. He also shows you some exercises to do after playing as a cool-down so you leave your body in a more natural alignment after a round of golf.
